3,4-dihydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde, also known as 3-Nitro-4,5-dihydroxybenzaldehyde, is a yellow solid at room temperature and pressure, and has good solubility in dimethyl sulfoxide. 3,4-dihydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde belongs to the derivatives of benzaldehyde, which are easily oxidized by air to form corresponding benzoic acid when stored at room temperature for a long time. It is mainly used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and pesticide chemistry, and can be used for the synthesis of pesticide molecules.
3,4-dihydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde is mainly used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and pharmaceutical chemistry, for the synthesis of agricultural molecules. In organic synthesis conversion, the aldehyde group in 3,4-dihydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde can be converted to hydroxyl group under reduction conditions, carboxyl group under oxidation conditions, or cyanide group under the action of hydroxylamine hydrochloride. In addition, the two phenolic hydroxyl groups in the structure have certain acidity and can react with alkyl halides under alkaline conditions to obtain corresponding aryl ether products.
