Main Function of Mecobalamin (Vitamin B12)

Methylcobalamin is a synthetic and active form of vitamin B12 that can cross the blood brain barrier without biotransformation, that may be used to treat or prevent vitamin B12 deficiency and its complications. The aim of this vitamin is to help with the proper functioning of the brain and nerves as well as the production of red blood cells. Methylcobalamin helps treat the deficiency of vitamin B12 by producing a substance known as "myelin".
